Council ‘is not consulting Lanark’ on Common Good Fund

ANOTHER major row – and a double one at that – is brewing over the use of Lanark Common Good Fund cash.

Allegations are being made that the town is not being properly consulted over how its fund is being used by its legal administrators, South Lanarkshire Council.

And there are also fears being expressed that the council might be planning to short-change the fund for using Lanark Common Good-owned property to create its new Lanark cemetery extension at Springbank Farm near Ravenstruther.
