THE INFORMATION Commissioner has criticised South Lanarkshire Council for its response to a question about a controversial path at Delves Park in Lanark.

Planning permission was granted for a house nearby and, as reported last year, there were concerns that the path was to be used by construction traffic.

The Information Commissioner has ruled that the council did not answer a question by a member of the public asking when the planning department was informed that access for the construction traffic would be down a “newly constructed road” in the park.
