Council rejects Eastwood mosque plan

AT TODAY’S council meeting, controversial plans to build a mosque at Eastwood High school were blocked by councillors.

At the same meeting, ERC’s elected members approved a proposal to provide a new joint-faith denominational school campus in Newton Mearns.

A proposal for development in Maidenhill, with a Muslim community centre and more than 4,000 new homes, was also approved.
