Boy (13) charged in connection with attempted murder of woman in Glasgow’s Southside

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested following the attempted murder of a woman in the Southside of Glasgow.

Police have charged and arrested the 13-year-old. The woman is in a critical condition in hospital.

The incident took place in Pollok on Wednesday, April 22.

The woman suffered critical injuries and is fighting for her life in hospital.

A police statement confirmed: “A 13 year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 41-year-old woman in Pollok, Glasgow on Wednesday, 22 April, 2020.

“The injured woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where hospital staff describe her condition as critical.

“A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and the Scottish Children’s Reporters Administration.”
