Boy (13) with knife tried to rob Cumbernauld shop

A 13-year-old boy has been charged with assault with intent to rob following an alleged incident at a convenience store on Monday (October 26)

The incident took place at Grampian Stores in Balloch Eastfield when the accused allegedly turned up at the premises with a knife and demanded goods from a staff member.

Nobody was injured in the incident but police were then called in and the juvenile was traced shortly afterwards.
