Cannabis cultivation worth almost half a million pounds discovered in Laurieston

A cannabis cultivation worth almost half a million pounds has been discovered in Laurieston.

The police were alerted following a report highlighting plants had been seen within a warehouse on Salkeld Street around 12.10pm on Monday.

There is believed to be around 800 plants with an estimated total street value of £480,000.

Detective Sergeant Graham Scott, of Baird Street CID, said: “Enquiries are ongoing however this is an example of how important information from the public can be.”
