Cars torched in Bellshill and Larkhall

Police Scotland is appealing for information after two cars were set on fire in Bellshill and Larkhall on Saturday (April 25)in broad daylight.

The Bellshill incident took place in Gilmour Place around 6.15pm and damaged a silver Toyota.

The second incident, involving a white Audi, happened around 6.30pm in Larkhall’s Machan Road.

Detective Sergeant Jimmy Williamson said: “We are carrying out investigations after both cars have deliberately been set alight. It is understood a grey-coloured vehicle was at the scene of both incidents and we believe both of these crimes to be linked.”

Anyone in either area who has information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3447 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
