Scott is described as a white man, around 5ft 10in tall with receding short grey hair. At the time he was last seen, Scott was wearing a green parka jacket and blue jeans.

Inspector Neil MacLeod, of Cumbernauld Community Policing, said: “It has now been over a week since Scott was reported missing and we are increasingly worried for his welfare.

“We know he had said he intended to take his dog to the woods and that his dog was found within the wooded area next to Fannyside Road two days later. Our enquiries are focused in that area in terms of ground search, but we are still very keen to hear from all of Scott’s associates and anybody who may have seen anyone matching Scott’s description or his staffordshire bull terrier between Saturday, 28 November and Monday, 30 November.

“Any information could prove vital, so please contact police.”
