East Renfrewshire police focus on young drivers

Officers have been carrying out checks in various areas over the last few days.

In Barrhead and Neilston, one driver was charged with dangerous driving, while another was arrested for driving while disqualified.

Another male driver was charged with driving with no licence and no insurance.

And one man is facing a drugs possession charge.

In Waterfoot, two drivers were issued with fixed penalty notices – £100 fine and three penalty points – for speeding.
