Football gear swiped from locked van in Condorrat

A locked van parked in Condorrat’s Barbeth Place was broken into – and completely stripped of football training equipment.

The incident took place overnight on Tuesday May 4.

Van owner, Andy Carlin who works with Hamilton Academicals Womens Football Club and has his own training academy said he was “gutted” to venture out and find the contents of the van including footballs and boots plundered -and the door lying open.

Andy took to Twitter to issue a warning about being offered this kind of gear on the cheap.

And police are now looking for witnesses in the hope of retrieving it.
