Major search for missing schoolboy in Bellshill has successful conclusion

A 10-year old boy had gone missing from Liberty Road -and police responded by deploying key resources at its disposal.

Air support, dog and specialist search units were all called in to find the youngster.

Following a public appeal, police later announced that he had been “traced safe and well by officers”.

The public too was thanked in its quest to spread the word about the child’s disappearance in the hope that he would be found.

A police spokesperson added: “Thank you very much for all your comments and shares.”
