Four drivers were warned after being stopped for speeding during checks in East Renfrewshire yesterday (Wednesday, May 27).

Police officers from the Problem Solving Team were out in Eaglesham, Clarkston, Newton Mearns and Waterfoot carrying out speed checks.

While four drivers warned, the team reported that the vast majority of drivers were obeying the speed limit.

Police warned anyone thinking of breaking the speed limit, perhaps due to the roads are quieter at this time, not to risk it.
