Man threatened with knife in Queens Park area of Glasgow

Police in Glasgow are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed in the Queens Park area.

The incident happened around 4.45pm near a coffee shop on Albert Avenue, at the Victoria Road junction, on Sunday 24 November 2019.

A 20-year-old man was approached by two men who punched him and threatened him with a knife before stealing personal belongings from his Vauxhall Astra car. The victim had injuries to his face and didn’t require hospital treatment.

The two suspects are described as being of Pakistani appearance in their late teens. One man was wearing black clothing and the other was wearing a red puffer jacket.

Detectives are keen to speak to a man who intervened while the victim was being attacked.

Constable Lauren Muir, of Govan’s Community Investigation Unit, said: “This incident happened on a busy street and we’re appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident to contact us, particularly a man who shouted at the suspects during the attack.”
