Police hunt thugs after station attack

British Transport Police are appealing for information after a serious assault in Glasgow's Argyle Street on Thursday night.

The victim needed hospital treatment for face wounds after he was attacked in Argyle Street station by two men at around 10.25pm.

The thugs then took the man’s jacket and headed towards Trongate.

The suspecvts are both white and in their 20’s. One wore a white tracksuit, and the other a black top and jeans.

Investigating officer PC Mark Harrington said: “We are trying to work out the exact circumstances of what happened here, but at the moment we believe this was completely unprovoked.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the station at the time or thinks they may be able to help with the investigation.”
