Police launch hunt after elderly woman robbed on Corkerhill Road

Officers are appealing for information after a woman was robbed on Tuesday, February 4.

Around 11.45am on Tuesday morning, a 64 year-old woman was standing on Corkerhill Road at its junction with Linthaugh Road, when she was approached by a man who forcibly grabbed her handbag from her.

The woman received minor injuries however she did not require hospital treatment.

The man responsible is described as white, 15-20 years of age, around 5ft 10 inches in height and of slim build with brown hair.

He was wearing a blue padded jacket, black jogging trousers and black trainers.

Constable Sean Kennedy of Greater Glasgow Division’s Robbery Unit said: “This was a frightening experience for the woman and we want to speak to anyone who may have seen this robbery place, or has information that will assist our enquiry.
