Police launch search for vulnerable Wishaw woman

Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a 26-year-old woman who has been missing from her home in Wishaw since yesterday (Sunday).

Danielle Reid (26) of Bridge Street was last seen at a relative’s house in Oakfield Road, Motherwell, around 6.30pm.

Danielle is described as white and around 5’4” inches in height with fair hair worn in a ponytail.

When she was last seen she was wearing a dark green parka-style jacket with cream fur around the hood, black leggings and black knee-high boots.

Inspector Hugh Burns from Motherwell Police Office said: “Danielle has been dealing with some personal issues and is feeling low.

“She has been missing before however, her family and officers are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and wellbeing as it is out of character not to keep in touch with anyone.

“Officers are currently searching for Danielle and I would urge anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact Motherwell Police Office through 101.”
