Police seize drugs in Cumbernauld

Police Scotland report they have recovered drugs from a vehicle at Cumbernauld Town Centre and three properties in the town.

Officers also carried out a search of a vehicle on the M9 motorway on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

Cocaine and cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £120,000 were recovered as a result of these searches,

Three suspects, men aged 45, 38 and 28, have been arrested.

Detective Kevin Jamieson of Lanarkshire Division said: “This was a significant recovery of harmful controlled drugs which were destined for communities across Scotland. Our officers will continue to actively pursue anyone who is suspected of being involved in the supply of controlled drugs, and I would like to thank the public for their ongoing support and assistance in this matter.
