Police step up patrols after youths continue to gather at an East Dunbartonshire beauty spot

They have also put out an appeal to parents to warn their youngsters against group gatherings.

East Dunbartonshire Police said they have received a number of reports about young people hanging around Milngavie Reservoir.

The force added that they will be patrolling the area to ensure lockdown rules are being adhered to.

A police spokesman said: “We have received a number of reports of youths regularly gathering at Milngavie reservoir.

“In response, we are patrolling the area and have added this location to our default patrols during the lockdown.

“Do you know where your kids are?”
