Two in hospital after fight at funeral

Around 20 police officers attended the scene at 12.30pm with rumours that shots had been fired, but these were later dismissed by the police.

An area of a car park outside the crematorium near Uddingston was cordoned off as CID searched under and around cars.

Officers also questioned drivers as they arrived and left the crematorium.

Around 1230 hours on Thursday 17 November 2016, police were called to reports of a disturbance at Daldowie Crematorium.

Detective Inspector David Stewart from Shettleston CID said: “Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.”
