Crossford’s Alasdair McDermid raises over £2000 from charity walk in Highlands

CROSSFORD man Alasdair McDermid has raised over £2000 as part of a team walking over 50 miles in one day through the stunning scenery of the Highlands.

Alasdair (35) was part of the four person team, which walked the 54 miles trek, beginning near Fort William, in 22 hours and 38 minutes.

It was a considerable achievement for Alasdair, who works as a greenkeeper at Bothwell Castle Golf Club, and his three team mates Mike and Tracy Philip and Stewart Carbary.
