Crowds gather for Wiston Lodge Spring Outdoor Spectacular

THE two-day Great Spring Outdoor Spectacular on the 53-acre grounds of Wiston Lodge certainly lived up to its name!

It featured several attractions including a show and demonstrations by well-known re-enactment group Glasgow Vikings, the oldest and largest Dark Ages re-enactment society in the UK and probably the world.

Wiston Lodge office administrator Kerry Walsh said that the Spring Spectacular was a great success, adding: “The Vikings proved to be the most popular attraction.

“The variety of shows they put on throughout the day was something totally different.

“Their skirmishes and mock fights were very realistic.”
