Cumbernauld firm ‘closes’ - and told to pay up
Systems Aluminium in Wardpark is the latest local victim of the credit crunch, and its workers are now in the difficult position of trying to secure monies owed from their employer.
MP Gregg McClymont is now involved in this process and believes that the firm should start paying staff what they are owed. He said: “I am angry at the way they are being being treated. For this closure news to be delivered to the staff with no notice so close to Christmas is devastating. I would urge anyone affected by the closure of the company in need of assistance to contact my office on 01236 457788.”
