Cumbernauld library to host art exhibition

CUMBERNAULD Library is hosting another exhibition by a local artist who has sought out this space for his paintings several times before.

Tom McDonald from Kildrum has selected a broad array of landscapes, seascapes and portraits for his latest display which has been wowing library users in its first week.

Many of the paintings have a distinctly Scottish theme but also draw inspiration from elsewhere.

Unlike his previous exhibitions at the same venue, Tom has ensured that every single picture was pre-framed so buyers do not need to go to the bother or expense of taking the items elsewhere to this end.

Furthermore a charity which is close to the hearts of many locally is set to benefit from the sale of the pictures as Tom has decided to donate the proceeds to Strathcarron Hospice.

The exhibition is scheduled to run until Friday April 20, and is open from 9pm to 7pm and from 9pm to 4pm on Saturdays.

Entrance is free.
