Cumbernauld man dies in Clutha ’copter crash

A grieving daughter has spoken to the News and Chronicle about her father who was tragically confirmed as one of the victims of the Clutha Vaults helicopter crash.

Police Scotland confirmed that John McGarrigle (57), of Abronhill, was one of the nine people who lost their lives after the helicopter crashed into the pub on Glasgow’s Stockwell Street on Friday night.

The family learned on Monday evening that well-known poet John was one of those killed in the tragedy.
