Cumbernauld man’s shock as crumbling wall exposed in renovations
THE SAFETY of a Cumbernauld man’s home was in jeopardy after renovation works revealed an unstable and crumbling inner wall.
David Wharton was left stunned when a council-contracted plasterer removed a partition frame from his living room during some renovation work – to reveal a huge, gaping hole and crumbling brickwork.
And David revealed he had been asking for action to be taken on his house as far back as the 1990s.
