Cumbernauld meeting on local issues open to all

ELECTED representatives will meet in Cumbernauld tomorrow night (Thursday) to discuss various local issues.

On the agenda are a presentation from Scottish Water to give an update on an environmental project they are working on to establish seven special ponds to create wetland habitat for wildlife in the area. There will also be a presentation by alcohol charity Liber 8 Lanarkshire, and by NHS Lanarkshire on mental health issues.

Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and the Northern Corridor community forums will each also present their latest reports, as will the emergency services and representatives of council departments including regeneration services, and planning and transportation.

The meeting is open to all members of the public and will be held at the courtrooms in Bron Way near Cumbernauld New Town Hall tomorrow (Thursday, July 14). It is scheduled to run from 6pm until 8pm.
