TWO pupils at St Andrew’s Primary School are ready to lead by example after being voted as head boy and head girl.

Connor Gray and Aileen Stewart, have been selected to represent their school and will act as role models for their fellow pupils.

The selection of two head pupils is generally an initiative commonly found at high schools, but forward thinking St Andrew’s feel that the idea of having two pupils who represent the school gives other children something to look up to.

“If there are things going on at the school or an event coming up then we get them to be involved and represent us. It also gives them responsibility and the younger children something to aim to achieve.

“It’s been in the school for four years and we feel it’s something that works.”
