Landscope, which was founded by Craigmarloch man Brian Lallaway 16 years ago, was again hailed the best landscaping firm at the 2016 Home Improvement Awards held in Glasgow.

Brian (41) said: “It’s fantastic, we’re absolutely thrilled. We took a large table at the awards night so the staff could come but didn’t expect to win again. The staff were absolutely over the moon.”

The company handles all manner of clients from individual households to big names such as A.G. Barr, several town centres and Eurocentral.

Brian added: “We are addicted to the quality of work we do, it is not enough to be ‘good’ or even ‘very good’. We are constantly thinking about how we can be the best, number one. It’s an obsession we all share here.”

The win in 2015 was a significant boon for Landscope and has enabled the firm to increase its total staffing to 15 plus four full time workers, and their fleet has grown from five vehicles to six.

Brian said: “Seeing the award on our leaflets really impresses potential customers. It also helps with recruitment as people want to work for companies that win awards like these.”

The judging procedure for these awards involves an independent panel of experts holding detailed Q and A sessions with clients.
