Glasgow City Council is aiming to have 80% of peak time travel to the city centre made by travel and public transport. The aim has been set for 2030, with improved public transport. It is part of a new city centre transformation plan that has been set by the council.

McDonald’s has announced the price of many of its items increasing for the first time in years. The fast food chain will hike the cost of some of its food by 20p. McDonald’s confirmed that its cheeseburger will now cost £1.19, up from the previous price of 99p - which has not been risen for 14 years.

A Scottish Sikh who has been detained in India for almost five years, has been formally charged with conspiracy to commit murder. 35-year-old Jagtar Singh Johal, from Dumbarton, was also accused of being a member of a terrorist gang.
