“Dance Derby” was first performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 2013 by Company Chordelia in co-production with Scottish Opera.

It tells the story of the gruelling dance marathons in America during the 1930s Great Depression.

Energetic and touching in equal measure, “Dance Derby” is the powerful story of ordinary people, dancing for their lives.

The exuberance of the popular music of the era contrasts with the desperation of the dancers.

It was written and created by Kally Lloyd-Jones, original designs by Janis Hart, with original musical arrangements for Company Chordelia by Kennedy Aitchison.

Performances 8pm, tickets £7.50 - two tickets for £10 on first night.

Wheelchair access, licensed bar, tickets available from Fintry Sports Club, Balfron Library, Killearn Pharmacy, FADS members or call Liz Brown on 01360 860078 or email [email protected]
