Detective Sergeant David MacGregor is urging anyone who was in the area of the school, Pentland Drive, Dornoch Place or adjoining street on Thursday afternoon to get in touch if their car – or it could be bicycle or motorbike –is fitted with a Dash Cam camera.
Such a camera might easily have taken a random snap of the culprit in the run-up to the murder bid.
The gunman opened fire in the area around Bishopbriggs’ St Helen’s Primary at around 3.10pm on Thursday.
The victim survived three shots, but reportedly suffered a badly injured arm.
Now police have asked the Herald to tell its readers that anyone who was in the general area of the shooting on Thursday afternoon should come forward if they have a Dash Cam.
The call came as police deployed numerous officers around local schools – including Lenzie and Kirkintilloch – to reassure parents and children after Thursday’s attempted murder.
Anyone able to help should get in touch with DS MacGregor urgently by dialling 101.
