David Mundell urges public to object Clyde Windfarm extension plans

RURAL Clydesdale MP David Mundell is urging the public to object to plans for an extension to Europe’s largest windfarm.

The plans, for the extension to the Clyde windfarm, near Abington, were submitted to the Scottish Government earlier this week.

The proposal is for 57 turbines near the Camps reservoir, with a maximum capacity of 171 megawatts – enough to power around 136,000 homes. For more information on this story, pick up a copy of this week’s Carluke and Lanark Gazette which is in the shops now.
