Death of Cumbernauld housing boss

A WOMAN who was at the helm of the town’s biggest housing agency has passed away.

The News and Chronicle has learned that Carol Paton, Cumbernauld Housing Partnership’s interim chief executive, died last month. She was 52 and is understood to have had cancer.

Carol, who originally hailed from Dundee, came to CHP as a management consultant with her own firm, Paton Independent. She worked for the partnership between 2007 and early 2009.

Her funeral service took place in Edinburgh and she is survived by her husband, Jim Middleton.
