Tony Wingate, head of distribution at Dreams, said: “The Dreams depot not only creates career opportunities, but will immensely benefit our customer base in Scotland.

“All orders will be handles directly by our skilled and knowledgeable staff meaning delivery lead times will be reduced by up to five days, making the bed buying process as smooth and stress-free as possible.”

The depot will need staff to fill a wide range of positions at the new depot.

The company say they are looking to recruit drivers and office staff within assistant, supervisory and management positions.

The company also say that the newly appointed staff will receive two weeks intensive on-the-job and customer service training.

The company’s Cumbernauld operation is expected to open December 16.
