Don't miss annual concert by Carluke Primrose
They will be performing their 36th annual concert in Carluke Lifestyles Centre on Friday evening at 7.30pm. Tickets priced £7 are still available.
Conductor John Bryce has announced that he is retiring from conducting and to mark the occasion he has chosen a programme to suit all tastes.

Hide AdThe first selection of music includes several famous classical dances such as Thunder and Lightening Polka by Strauss, Waltz Number 2 from Shostakovich’s The Jazz Suite and Philip SparkKs Klezmer Karnival.
For popular music fans the orchestra will play a piece called The Prayer written by Sager and Foster.
Also included will be a performance from the orchestras Youth Group.
To finish the first half, the conductor has chosen another Strauss piece of music Radetzky March.

Hide AdTo open the second half of the concert the Orchestra will play the selection of World War music called Aces High March followed by Highlights from Annie. Also included will be the Ketelby overture In a Persian Market and Tambourin by Gossec. There will also be a selection of Scottish music to complete the second half.
To finish the concert and bring an end to his reign as the orchestras conductor, John has composed a piece of music specifically for the occasion entitled When the Baton Falls.
