Fans of the hit ITV drama Downton Abbey will also have a big reason to attend as there will be a showcase of beautiful costumes seen on TV. Attendees at the show will get to see a number of outfits from the first series, as worn by actresses including Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGoven and Penelope Wilton.

Continuing the heritage theme, the Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles will present its Romance of Words display, inspired by the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility. Each quilt presents its maker’s interpretation of the subject.

The Sewing Hub will provide a haven for dressmakers and style fans on the lookout for ways to create unique designs without blowing the budget, while The Stitch Diva’s Den will help you reinvent your wardrobe and the Pattern Bar will provide new patterns and inspiration.

Newcomers to dressmaking and experienced hobbyists alike will be able to get useful hints and tips from the Sewing Machine Clinic.
