Drama to end them all

The term “community play” can conjure up images of amateur productions in local halls – fine, in their own way, but not the stuff of cutting edge drama.

But there’s a whole different dimension to the production currently in preparation at Cumbernauld Theatre, in which the savagery and slaughter of the First World War - and how it impacted on the lives of men, women and children all over Scotland - will be seen at the level where the horror and the tragedy was deeply personal.
