Drink-driving ... on a bike? Police arrest allegedly sauced-up cyclist

POLICE have charged a cylist for allegedly riding his bike while under the influence of alcohol.

Police stopped the 24-year-old man in Townhead, Kirkintilloch, at around 6.40pm on Friday night.

Meanwhile, a man has been charged with drinking in public. Police swooped on the 45-year-old at around 8.25pm on Friday, June 29, in Quarry Lane, Lennoxtown.

In a separate incident, a teenager has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

The 15-year-old was allegedly found with a screwdriver in Woodhead Park, Kirkintilloch, at around 6.20pm on Sunday.
