Early doors for Lanark nightclub’s late opening bid
A BID to open a Lanark nightclub until 3am has been knocked back because its customers and location aren’t “suitable”.
The ruling by the Clydesdale Area Licensing Board comes despite it being presented with an 80-signature petition by the patrons of Images in Wellgate, calling for the two-hour extension to existing Friday and Saturday night opening hours.
The five vote to two ruling at Friday’s board meeting was also made without any objections from local residents or the police, and the club owners are now considering an appeal.
