East Kilbride Councillor Jim Docherty named on Clydesdale Licensing Board

Clydesdale Licensing Board will now have a member from East Kilbride as the council’s Labour Party has named its three additional members.

The controversial move to add three Labour councillors to each of the four boards in South Lanarkshire was taken at a full meeting of the council on December 19 and saw Nationalists walk out of the meeting in disgust.

Labour’s East Kilbride councillor Jim Docherty will now sit on the board alongside additional Clydesdale Labour members Lynsey Hamilton and Ralph Barker.
