Eastwood youth speaks out at Westminster

The Member of Scottish Youth Parliament for Eastwood swapped Holyrood for Westminster recently — even securing a key speaking spot on the parliamentary broadcast.

Euan Waddell — also the UK Youth Parliament member for Glasgow and the west of Scotland — attended the House of Commons with fellow members to select a national campaign for 2016.

There, he spoke in favour of a campaign to combat racial and religious hatred, with strong support from fellow young politicians.

The Woodfarm High pupil told The Extra: “I was delighted to have the opportunity to speak and represent the young people of East Renfrewshire.”
