The consultation period will run from Friday, May 10 to Friday, June 28.
Comments on the proposal have to be in by Friday, June 28.
Additionally a public meeting will take place on June 4 from 7 – 8.30 at Crawfordjohn Village Hall.
The school was demolished, and the original intention was to build a new primary for the village. Councillor Eddie McAvoy, Leader of South Lanarkshire Council said: “We have had initial discussions with the families of children at Crawfordjohn Primary School to hear their views on the future of their children’s education.
“In the main they supported the catchment area being rezoned to Abington.

“It is only right now that they and members of the wider community have their say on the proposals through this consultation.
“I would urge as many people as possible to take part and give us their views.”
The Gazette is also keen to hear the views of families - or the wider community - involved.
