End of the road for Convention of Scottish local authorities?
The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities was rocked this week by the news that Aberdeen City council has announced its intention to quit the umbrella group.

Hide AdIt is understood GCC and a number of other local authorities are set to follow suit amid arguments over funding.
East Ren could also soon re-consider its position within the umbrella group, which negotiates with the Scottish government on behalf of councils.
East Renfrewshire council leader Jim Fletcher told The Extra: “If lots of councils do quit, COSLA will change as an entity.
“We would then need to look at its position. We are unwilling to change our financial contribution.”
