Burnbraes Park paddling pool is repaired

The pool has been out of action for the last two summers because of leaks but South Lanarkshire Council has now fixed it.

Friends of Burnbraes chairwoman Janet Moxley said: “It was a lovely surprise to come into the park this week and find work being done on the pool.

“I know that the repairs will be greatly appreciated by local children and families.

“We have been pressing SLC to make these repairs for several years but money has been tight.

“It is easy to criticise the council when things go wrong but this time it has got it right; all we need now is a hot summer!”
