Plans submitted for development of 18 flats in Newton Mearns

Planning permission is being sought for a development of 18 flats at a site just off Ayr Road in Newton Mearns.

Treeside Cottage is earmarked for demolition as part of the plans for 18 new homes.

The plans, recently submitted to East Renfrewshire Council, involve the demolition of Treeside Cottage, the existing property on the site, to make way for two blocks of flats.

The application, by Glasgow-based Panacea Property, is for 18 three-bedroom flats, with on-site parking, landscaping and common/private amenity space.

Treeside Cottage currently sits on land bordered by Ayr Road and Malletsheugh Road, and a new access road to the flats would be created from Malletsheugh Road.
