Exhibition gets to the art of nature

The latest exhibition to arrive at the Lillie Art Gallery, in Milngavie, is a collection of works by artist Marie Barbour entitled '˜Seasons Dancing'.

She produces a range of works on paper and oil paintings from her studio in Glasgow’s East End, with nature being the main subject.

Also appearing at the gallery is ‘Gongoozler’ by Lesley Banks.

The pictured image is of the Kelpies on the Forth & Clyde Canal, one of the images painted as part of a residency at Scottish Canals funded by Creative Scotland.

Frances Corr is also being exhibited at the gallery, with her collection ‘What the Ground Gets Up To’ - inspired by the sometimes strange landscape around Carbeth.

The exhibitions are all open open until August 3.
