The village bard is displaying a number of his favourite poems, along with associated artwork, at a unit downstairs in the Regent Centre.

He will also be there most mornings to sell and sign copies of his books.

Tam has published over 30 volumes of verse since he fell 22 feet from a scaffold in Campsie Glen while working as a bricklayer in June 1987 - an accident which he credits with “unlocking” the poetry in his head.

He also sells his books at Glasgow’s Candleriggs Market most Saturdays.

His latest volume, ‘Mobile Laughter - Inside a Snowdrop’ is a pocket sized book featuring some of his funniest work.
