She and her husband were married in 1942. Nan has many stories to tell about the war, especially when her mother’s house was damaged during an air raid over Bridgeton.
Mr Oswald sadly died aged just 63 years. He was a kind and sociable man and in his younger days enjoyed ballroom dancing at local dances at his Tennis Club.
Nan loved her mother’s home town Rothesay and Nan moved there when her husband died to share a flat with her sister Janet.
But she came to live with her daughter Marion in Lanark three years ago.
