Fashionistas turn out for catwalk glamour

More than one hundred fun and fashion seeking women converged on Clarkston Halls last Wednesday to enjoy a girls’ night out organised by businesses from the ‘I Love Clarkston’ BID.

Three boutiques — Zuzu, Ticketyboo-Tique, a bientot — and Kerfuffle bespoke wedding dresses took part in the catwalk show.

Bonnie Fleurs provided beautiful bouquet.

Hair and beauty salons Bella Me, Dry bar and Chic also came out for the charity event.

Something Different, Hodgkinsons the Jeweller and homeless charity Shelter set up stalls. Box of Gorgeous, Stella and Dot and Optimal Physio rented space. Skinny Malinkys provided the bar.

Emily Middlemass and Michael Oakley played and sang and Man Candy butlers and Pulse Radio added to the entertainment.

Thanks to generous donations on the night, the raffle raised more than £400 for the charity East Renfrewshire Good Causes (ERGC).

A BID spokesman said: “These events allow businesses to showcase their products and get people into Clarkston of an evening. I love Clarkston’s purpose is to improve business opportunities in the area and protect the amenities that make Clarkston special for every one.

“All our members can suggest events that would promote their type of business.”
