Concerns have been voiced to the Gazette over the running of the 240X ‘express’ service which plies the Lanark-Carluke-Glasgow route after what some claim has been sudden and unexplaimed alterations and cancellations to the timetable.

The service is currently run by Stuart’s Coaches of Carluke but the 240X has a long heritage, having been run as the main city bus link for over half a century.
